The LCADA Way is currently recruiting for a Counselor Assistant / Residential Monitor to work at our Women’s Residential Facility in Lorain. Join our team of dedicated professionals providing Leadership, Compassion, Awareness, Dedication & Advocacy to the communities we serve.
Summary:
The Counselor Assistant / Residential Monitor is responsible for monitoring and overseeing the daily activities of all residential clients and for facilitating program schedules and house processes. The Residential Monitor is also responsible to provide childcare coverage for the Childrens Program as needed.
Essential Functions:
Supervises and assesses residents activities and performance during shift. Reports any emergency situations to the Residential Coordinator. Maintains daily records of activities, progress notes, and records problems in behavior, Maintains log of client activities. Reports on general condition with the residential facility on hourly basis. Facilitates program schedules and all house processes during shift. Ensures clients compliance with self-administered medication protocols. Completion of all CQI data collection and implementation of all CQI corrective actions as assigned. Monthly participation in Utilization Review and Peer Review programs. Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
Must adhere to the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Boards Chemical Dependency Code of Ethics, demonstrate an understanding of addiction as an illness, and have three years of treatment or recovery experience. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree or substantial progress towards Associate Degree with emphasis on Addictions Treatment and Prevention or equivalent preferred.
Certification Requirements:
Residential Monitor CDCA eligible required and must obtain CDCA within 90 days of employment.
Counselor Assistant CDCA required.
Amount of Travel: Minimal, mostly confined to local travel.
Hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week. 1st Shift (8 am – 4 pm), Saturday – Sunday. PRN openings with various days/shifts are also available.
Salary Range: Salary commensurate with licensure and experience. Additional shift differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
