POSITION INFORMATION:
Innovative teen pregnancy/STI prevention program is seeking part-time (20-25 hrs/wk) Youth
Engagement & Communications Specialist to support grant activities until July 2020.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The primary responsibilities of this position are to support grant communications (social media,
promotional, educational) and youth engagement activities at four area high schools. The
Specialist will develop content and maintain social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram,
Facebook), design promotional materials and infographics, participate in planning and
execution of community youth events, interface with educators, youth engagement partners
and other community collaborators and attend community meetings. The Specialist will provide
support disseminating information, coordinating community engagement activities, and other
duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience working with youth and in sexual health education and health
communications, preferred. Must be personable and outgoing, feel comfortable speaking in
front of groups, organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and a team player with a positive
attitude. Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health or a related
field. Master’s degree preferred.
Must have a car and a valid CA driver’s license. Mileage will be reimbursed.
Will be fingerprinted and cleared for working in schools and County facilities.
